Which Exotic Car Should You Rent?
An honest guide to picking the right one, including when to spend less.
People usually arrive knowing they want something fast and red, and leave much happier having taken something else. The right car depends on what the days actually look like — who is with you, where you are staying, and whether you want to be looked at or to enjoy the driving.
If you want to be seen
A Lamborghini, and it is not close. Nothing else in the fleet draws attention like one, and if that is the point of the rental then anything quieter will disappoint you. Take it on the beach, take it to dinner, accept that people will photograph it. Just be realistic about parking, because it is low and wide and some garages are neither.
If you want to enjoy driving it
The Porsches, the Aston Martin and the McLaren. These reward the roads rather than the crowds — the causeway, A1A, Old Cutler. They are quick without being difficult, and you will get out of them having actually driven rather than having parked. The McLaren is the sharpest of the three and the least forgiving in traffic.
If there are more than two of you
The SUVs. A Lamborghini Urus or a Rolls-Royce Cullinan seats four properly with luggage, which no supercar in this fleet does. This is the most common thing people get wrong: they book a two-seat car for a trip with four people in it and spend the week taking two cars everywhere.
If it is an occasion
The Rolls-Royce or the Bentley. Weddings, anniversaries, a dinner that matters. They photograph beautifully, they arrive without making a scene, and they are as good chauffeured as driven. For a wedding specifically, the Rolls-Royce is what most people picture and it lives up to it.
If the budget matters
Take the Corvette. It is mid-engined, genuinely quick, and a fraction of the daily rate of the Italian cars — and almost everybody who drives one is surprised by how little they feel they gave up. The BMWs and the Mercedes are the other honest answer here: nearly as fast in the real world, far easier to live with, and a great deal cheaper across a week.
If you have done this before
The quiet ones. People who have already had the Lamborghini weekend tend to come back for the Aston Martin, the Porsche or the BMW — the cars that are pleasant to spend a week with rather than the ones that are an event for a day. There is no shame in it and the driving is usually better.
A note on where you are staying
Tell us the hotel or the address when you book. Some driveways and garage ramps in the Gables, the Grove and older parts of the beach will catch the front of a low car, and we would rather steer you to a different vehicle than watch you scrape one. It is a thirty-second conversation and it saves a bad afternoon.

- If the car you want is free, yes. Call us. We would much rather move you to the right vehicle than hand over one you are not going to enjoy.
- Which car is best for a first-time supercar driver?
- A Porsche or the Corvette. Both are quick enough to be a genuine event and neither punishes you for being unfamiliar with it. We will walk you round whatever you take before you drive it.
- Can I try more than one across a week?
- Yes. Swapping cars part-way through a longer booking is something we can arrange — it is a delivery and a collection, so tell us when you book and we will quote it.
